EVANSTON, Ill. (AP) — Northwestern has agreed to a contract extension with men's basketball coach Chris Collins.

The school did not provide any details while announcing the move on Tuesday.

Collins, who replaced Bill Carmody, is 29-36 in two seasons. Northwestern went 14-19 his first year and 15-17 last season.

With veterans Alex Olah and Tre Demps along with sophomores Vic Law and Bryant McIntosh returning, the Wildcats appear poised to contend for the school's first NCAA tournament bid.
