CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — The Carolina Panthers are planning to host football moms to show them how to keep their aspiring players safe on the field, and to get some personal experience in what it's like to be in the game.
The team is hosting a Heads Up Football "Moms' Safety Clinic" on Wednesday at Bank of America Stadium. The clinic is being held in conjunction with USA Football, the national governing body of the sport and the National Football League's youth football development partner.
The program's focus is to provide mothers of children playing football, or mothers with children who are considering playing, with a strong knowledge base provided by leaders in youth and high school football.
Along with a panel discussion, moms will also participate in on-field Heads Up Tackling drills.
