On the May 19, 2013 edition of Mormon Times, we reflect on the extraordinary life of Sister Frances Monson. The wife of LDS Church president, Thomas S. Monson passed away in a Salt Lake City hospital on May 18. Sister Monson had been ill for several weeks and died of complications of old age. She was 85 years old.

"Children deserve to be safe, with enough to eat, in a warm bed; without abuse, neglect or fear. They deserve a loving family who holds them in their heart." That's what the Utah Foster Care website states. So true.

And I was deeply touched when I visited the household of Kim and Rob Gerlach—a couple who took in four foster children, met their needs, then adopted them all. It's only fitting the Gerlach's are featured on the local foster care website and on our show this Sunday, May 19.
