SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A downtown Salt Lake City block surrounding the LDS Church office headquarters was closed briefly Wednesday morning.
The street was shut down for less than an hour around 10 a.m. as emergency crews brought down a woman they believe may have been suicidal, Salt Lake Fire spokesman Jasen Asay said.
She was taken into custody without incident within minutes and received a psychiatric evaluation at the scene.
No injuries were reported.
The building is the office headquarters for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It's located nearby the Mormon temple, a popular tourist attraction in the heart of Salt Lake City.
