ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) — Cleveland pitcher Carlos Carrasco came close to pitching the third no-hitter of the baseball season. Carrasco's bid for a no-hitter was broken up by Joey Butler's single with two outs in the ninth inning of the Indians' 8-1 win over the Tampa Bay Rays.

EDMONTON, Alberta (AP) — Team USA's opponent in Sunday's Women's World Cup Championship will be Japan. The defending tournament champions beat England 2-1 on an own goal by England's Laura Bassett Wednesday night and now head to Vancouver for a return match of the title match four years ago won by Japan on penalty kicks.

CLEVELAND (AP) — On the first day of NBA free agency, All-Star forward Kevin Love has announced he's returning to Cleveland next season. A person with knowledge of the agreement tells The Associated Press that Love will get a five-year max contract worth more than $110 million.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Anthony Davis is reportedly staying with the New Orleans Pelicans. A person with knowledge of the details confirmed the deal to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity. The agreement is reportedly for five-years and is said to be worth more than $140 million.

UNDATED (AP)— Four golf organizations that have tournaments scheduled at Donald Trump courses do not share his views — not on Mexican immigrants, or recent comments that the golf industry knows that he's right. But the PGA Tour, LPGA Tour, USGA and PGA of America declined to say whether they still plan to host events at Trump-controlled courses in the future.
