NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. (AP) — Tim Cluess, who has led Iona to 118 wins and two NCAA Tournaments in five seasons, had his contract extended through 2019-20. The Gaels have won at least 20 games and made a postseason appearance in each of his five seasons.
TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — There's an excellent matchup in the NHL tonight in Tampa as the Lightning play host to Nashville. In the NHL's Eastern Conference the Lightning are tied for second, a point back of leader Montreal, while in the West the Preds are a point back of Anaheim and St. Louis for first.
SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Aaron Baddeley shot a 4-under 68 to take the clubhouse lead in the first round of the Texas Open. He's holding a three-shot edge over Cameron Beckman and Daniel Summerhays.
CARLSBAD, Calif. (AP) — Top-ranked Lydia Ko, Karrie (KAR'-ee) Webb and China's Xiyu Lin are tied for the clubhouse lead in the opening round of the LPGA Kia Classic. Ko and Webb rolled through their rounds without a bogey.
