SALT LAKE CITY -- The new director of the Utah Symphony, Thierry Fischer, announced the upcoming 2010 - 2011 season Tuesday.
Maestro Fischer says this year he will focus on five masterworks, including Haydn's First Symphony, Mozart's First Symphony and Beethoven's First Piano Concerto.
"I think we can be quite proud of ourselves because we did sort of a world record, which is putting a season together in four months, which is almost unheard of," Fischer said.
His first performance with the symphony will be held in September.
