SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services will spend $2.1 million to help low-income homeowners and renters in Utah pay for heating and electric costs.
Eligible families can receive money to help pay for home heating, cooling and other energy costs, as well as helping to weatherize certain homes.
In recent years, more than 6 million low-income households across the country have received federal assistance.
Nationwide, Congress appropriated $5.1 billion for the program this year.
