Fire Forces Apartment Residents Out of Homes

(KSL News) More than a dozen people are out of their homes this morning after a two-alarm fire at a downtown apartment building.

The fire broke out in the top floor of the building at 215 South 300 East just after midnight.

An officer at the nearby police station actually discovered the blaze after smelling smoke.

Flames were confined to the attic, but residents were still evacuated due to heavy smoke throughout the building.
