(KSL News) Officers received a tip today that a pick up truck was going to be stolen from a neighborhood in South Salt Lake. So they staked-out the location.
Sgt. Dave Broadhead/ Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office: "They weren't there very long before a 32-year-old male walked up, got into the truck and started driving away."
And then the chase was on.
Officers followed the driver for a couple of blocks. He sideswiped another vehicle, and then high centered the truck on a curb in front of his own house!
He tried to run away, but officers tackled him and took him into custody.
