(KSL News) -- Some controversial pictures on display at the Salt Lake Community College, South City Campus have been stolen.
Sparks were flying over the pictures last Tuesday after some students found them offensive. Men dressed to depict LDS missionaries were photographed in poses suggesting a homosexual relationship.
Three of the five pictures on display are now missing.
Lt. Doug McCleve, Utah Highway Patrol: "We're going to treat it like any other theft investigation. If you've committed a theft, there's usually a consequence when you've committed a crime. And our intention is to prosecute this like any other theft."
Police believe the theft happened sometime after ten o'clock last night. They're still investigating and interviewing students who had access to the locked building last night.
