(KSL News) -- A Utah lawmaker won't seek re- election after admitting to soliciting sex from a prostitute.

Calvin Bird, a Republican, represents his hometown of Springville as well as Mapleton and part of Spanish Fork.

He tells The Deseret Morning News he "made a big mistake."

Republican Aaron Tilton will now run unopposed for Bird's seat in the Utah House.
