(KSL News) -- Fire destroyed a Layton family's garage last night, and sent smoke into their home.
The blaze broke out around 9 last night..
A neighbor saw the flames and ran inside the house to tell the homeowners.
Fire crews arrived about one minute after the 9-1-1 call, and put the blaze out quickly before it was able to spread to the home.
The home did suffer some smoke damage, but not enough to displace the residents.
The cause is under investigation.
