SALT LAKE CITY -- The Dew Tour is rolling now. Two Utahns are competing in the skateboard and one in BMX.

Clearfield resident Adam Dyet says he's proud to be representing Utah in the Tour

"801, it's my hometown and everything," Dyet said. "I just finished third in the X-Games and brought a bronze home to Utah. Yeah! 801 that's what I'm talking about!"

He's also excited to be competing in Salt Lake.

"This year, you know, I'm gonna have all my friends and family here, so hopefully I get a big cheer. If not, I'll give a big wave and a smile, and I'll skateboard," he said.

Dyet has been skating for 12 years, but he got his big break at the Dew Tour last year when it was here in Salt Lake City.

The Dew Tour invites two wild cards from the host city to compete. Dyet got invited. It was his chance, and he never looked back.

"Never looked back. Always move forward, that's what you should do," Dyet said.

And he has moved forward. After making it to the finals in his very first event last year in Utah, he's been competing on the Dew Tour ever since and qualified to come back and compete this weekend.

"But this year they had the first two that you have to qualify at, so I went to both of them and skated alright I think, I'm here now," Dyett said.

Dyett took sixth place in the prelims Thursday, and they'll wrap that all up on Sunday.
