WEST VALLEY CITY -- There's a new radio station in town and it's geared toward the Catholic community.

With a flip of the switch, Bishop John Wester of the Salt Lake City Diocese turned on Utah's first Catholic radio station, which goes by the call letters KIHU.

Immaculate Heart Radio will broadcast 24 hours a day on AM 1010 from a station at 6173 W. 2100 South in West Valley City. It's part of a network of 22 stations and translators in the Western states.

Owners say they hope it will help Catholics better understand their faith and learn how to share it with others.
