HURRICANE, Utah (AP) -- Three people died in a weekend crash in southwestern Utah, while another victim remained in critical condition at a hospital in Salt Lake City.
Dustin Garner, 35, was driving east on State Road 9 when his car crossed several lanes of traffic and crashed into a minivan Saturday in Washington County, Hurricane police Sgt. Brandon Buell said.
Garner died at a Las Vegas hospital. The van's driver, Rex Sylvester, 78, and a grandson, Drew Crowther, 13, also died.
Sylvester and family members had been working on a Hurricane farm owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, daughter Roxanne Coyle said.
David Thompson, 48, was in critical condition at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, where he had surgery to place bolts in his neck, The Spectrum of St. George reported.
A third passenger in the van, Collin Crowther, 15, was injured but survived.
