(KSL News) Salt Lake City Mayor Rocky Anderson is asking his staff to voluntarily stop drinking bottled water, specifically at public meetings and events.
In a memo Anderson says it can be bad for the environment because the bottles pile up in landfills and the process of delivering the water also pollutes.
The mayor also says there is no reason for the bottles because tap water is clean and safe.
