It's a milestone for the charity, which, since its inception in 1983, has grown to help children all over the world. Each year they raise millions of dollars in a variety of ways for over 170 hospitals, including Primary Children's Medical Center in Salt Lake.

Among those in attendance at Friday's dedication: Jimmy Osmond, whose family helped start the organizations years ago.

"I'm thrilled with the progress, and on behalf of my family I want to thank all of you that work so hard for CMN in helping 17 million people a year," Osmond said.

Along with the grand opening, organizers unveiled the network's 26-year total for donations: $388 billion dollars.
