KSL Newsradio's Andrew Adams reportingWarren Jeffs is being asked to use his influence to get his followers to pay property taxes.

The Deseret Morning News reports Jeffs received a one-page letter from Bruce Wisan, the court-appointed fiduciary of the FLDS Church's United Effort Plan Trust.

The fiduciary is hoping to enlist the help of FLDS leader Warren Jeffs himself, sending him a letter that asks Jeffs to influence his followers to pay their property taxes.

The Deseret Morning News obtained a copy of the letter. In it, the fiduciary tells Jeffs "I know that if you asked the FLDS people to properly and expeditiously pay their property taxes it would happen."

Wisan also threatens that those who don't pay could face eviction.

Last year it took posting notices on doors in Hilldale, Utah and Colorado City, Arizona, before taxes were paid.
