SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A man who was killed in a collision with a garbage truck last week has been identified.

Police say 68-year-old Isaac Lopez Trejo died on Friday when a garbage truck ran a red light and smashed into his truck. Trejo and his wife had been traveling north on 700 East near 800 South in Salt Lake.

The man's wife, 74-year-old Elva, was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The driver of the garbage truck was NOT injured.
