AMERICAN FORK -- A stinky pair of shoes have paid off big for a 7-year-old boy from American Fork.
Joshua Boothe traveled to Vermont this week as one of seven finalists in the annual Odor-eaters "Rotten Sneaker Contest." The judges smelled all of the shoes and decided Joshua's were the stinkiest.
He's now $2,500 richer, cash his parents say is going into the bank. Better yet, he and his dad are on their way to New York City to see the sights and attend a Broadway show before they return home on Friday.
