DENVER (AP) -- Matt Harpring scored 17 points and Carlos Boozer added 16 points and nine rebounds to lead the Utah Jazz to a 127-107 exhibition victory over the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday night.
C.J. Miles had 13 points on three, 3-pointers for the Jazz. Deron Williams had 11 points and five assists as Denver never challenged in the second half.
J.R. Smith was 8-for-13 on 3-pointers and finished with 26 points for the Nuggets. Yakhouba Diawara had 17 points and Carmelo Anthony 14 points for Utah which was 29-for-52 on free throws.
Denver coach George Karl was ejected after receiving his second technical foul with 7:39 left in the fourth quarter and the Nuggets trailing 100-81. Utah scored the next seven points, the final two coming on Dee Brown's short jumper, and the Jazz withstood a 3-point barrage from Smith and Diawara, three each over the final 5:52 of the game.
The Jazz led 95-72 at the start of the fourth quarter, thanks to nine points from Boozer in the third period. Utah led by as much as 77-49 after a follow up dunk by Hiram Fuller with 8:12 left in the quarter.
Miles had two 3-pointers and 12 of his points in the second quarter as Utah led 63-45 at halftime.
Denver's Marcus Camby did not dress because of a foot injury.
