PROVO, Utah (AP) -- An American Fork man accused of shooting his brother to death last year will soon go on trial.
A judge has declared 33-year-old Eryk Drej is mentally competent to stand trial. This after he went through two rounds of mental competency reviews and nine months in the Utah State Hospital.
Eryk is charged with first-degree murder in the death of his brother Lukasz Drej.
Police say Eryk shot his brother last June because he believes he was involved in a plot to kill a woman and then sell her organs on the black market.
His trial is scheduled to begin on February 20th.
