TORONTO (AFX) - Canadian health officials have reported 67 active SARS cases, six fewer than on Tuesday, as an investigation into a possible new cluster continues.

Canada is the only country outside Asia to report any deaths from Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome, with all 33 deaths since March occurring in the Toronto area.

Officials said yesterday there were 63 probable SARS cases -- one less than Tuesday -- and four suspect SARS cases -- or five less than Tuesday.

They could not specify how many people were under investigation, but estimated it was more than 100.
