SARATOGA SPRINGS — A 13-year-old boy has died from injuries sustained in a crash at the intersection of Pony Express Parkway and the Mountain View Corridor in Saratoga Springs on Thursday.

A woman and another child were also hospitalized with injuries resulting from the collision.

Just before 6 p.m., a semitrailer heading east on Pony Express Parkway and a minivan heading north on Mountain View Corridor collided, Saratoga Springs spokesperson AnnEllise Harrison said.

A woman driving the minivan was flown to a hospital in critical condition. Two children were also in that vehicle. The boy was taken to a hospital with critical injuries, but later died, Harrison said. A girl, around 10, was also hospitalized with less severe injuries.

Two other children were also in the minivan, a toddler and an 8-year-old, who were not injured.

The condition of the truck driver was not immediately made available.
