CEDAR CITY — A Nevada man previously charged with kidnapping after a woman asked for help at a gas station in Hamilton Fort appeared in court for sentencing last week.

On July 17, 53-year-old Epigmenio Bustillos-Marquez, of Las Vegas, appeared for sentencing on one second-degree felony count of kidnapping. He was also sentenced in a second misdemeanor case.

The felony case was filed following an incident reported March 8, when one woman slipped another woman a note at a convenience store in Iron County saying she needed help. The woman receiving the message contacted police, according to charging documents filed at the time.
