OGDEN — Two boys were arrested Monday for investigation of arson at an abandoned nursing home.

Ogden firefighters responded to 910 Monroe Boulevard at 5:11 p.m. on Monday to fight a blaze that had erupted in a building. Smoke and flames were coming from the roof of the building, but fire crews contained the fire to just that one building, accroding to a statement from Ogden police.

Based on help from community members, police searched the area and located two boys who were hiding in a nearby garage. The boys were arrested for investigation of arson and criminal trespassing, the statement says.

Police said they will not be releasing the boys' names, but the two were transported to the Weber Valley Detention Center. The boys' ages were also not released.
