ST. GEORGE — A St. George man who initially faced 100 counts of aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor has entered a plea.

On May 6, 65-year-old David Michael Thibodeau appeared for a resolution hearing held at 5th District Court in St. George, where he pleaded guilty to 10 second-degree felonies of sexual exploitation of a minor. These charges were reduced from first-degree felonies, removing the aggravated factor associated with a distribution charge.

The 90 remaining charges were dismissed as part of the plea deal.

Prosecutor Jerry Jaeger told St. George News the charges were amended after additional information emerged while processing the evidence collected during the monthslong investigation that launched in December 2022.
