Florida's Walter Clayton Jr. is The Associated Press men's college basketball player of the week. The senior led the way as the third-ranked Gators won the Southeastern Conference Tournament for the first time since 2014. That helped Florida earn the top seed in the NCAA Tournament's West Region bracket. Clayton averaged 20.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 4.7 assists. Louisville's Terrence Edwards Jr. was named runner-up after a strong showing in leading the Cardinals to their first Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament title game. St. John's RJ Luis Jr., Memphis' PJ Haggerty and Duke's Kon Knueppel earned honorable-mention status for the week.
