ST. GEORGE — The suspect arrested in Nevada in connection with a recent robbery on West Sunset Boulevard in St. George allegedly has gang ties to MS-13, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.

On Sunday, the suspect, identified as 39-year-old Dennis Solares-Garcia, was arrested at a hotel in the 2800 Block of Las Vegas Boulevard and booked into the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas, according to a statement released by U.S. Marshals Service late Sunday.

The suspect is a known MS-13 gang member who was previously deported from the United States, according to the U.S. Marshals Service's Nevada Violent Offender Task Force.

Federal court records revealed that Solares-Garcia is a Guatemalan national who has twice been deported from the United States; the first time was in 2006 from Utah, while the second time was from Nevada in 2012.
