PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. — Scottie Scheffler picked a peculiar time for a walk on the beach. It saved him at least one shot in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Scheffler pulled his tee shot on the famous par-5 18th hole and feared he would have to take a penalty drop at the end of the tee box. But he found his golf ball on the beach below. He was able to move enough small rocks to hit wedge back to the fairway. And then he hit onto the green with a 6-iron and two-putted for par. He shot 70 and was seven shots back.
