Maryland forward Julian Reese is The Associated Press national player of the week in men's college basketball. The senior from Baltimore, Maryland, had career-highs of 27 points and 17 rebounds in leading the Terps to a rout of then-No. 17 Illinois on the road, then had 14 points and 10 boards in a win at Indiana. J'Wan Roberts of No. 6 Houston was the runner-up Tuesday after his key free throws at the end of regulation last week helped the Cougars beat then-No. 12 Kansas in double-overtime in Allen Fieldhouse.
