(KSL News) The daughter of a man shot and killed by a restaurant security guard has filed a civil lawsuit.
In July, George Harrison fatally shot Mike Mays near Mama's Southern Plantation restaurant on 1394 S. West Temple.
Harrison claimed Mays had been threatening customers.
No charges were filed against Harrison.
Mays' daughter claims Harrison and the restaurant were negligent and tells the Salt Lake Tribune she wants $20,000 along with funeral expenses and other damages.
