SALT LAKE CITY — The first month of the Utah Hockey Club's inaugural season is in the books.
With a 6-6-3 record, the team is in decent standing, especially considering the injuries it's had to overcome. With one month down, Austin Facer takes a moment to award his early season awards, including Best Fight, Best Moment, Scrappiest Player and Team MVP.
Is it Clayton Keller, who's leading the team in scoring while serving as the squad's captain? Or is it Dylan Guenther, who's sharp-shooting has him pacing the team with seven goals?
It is Mikhail Sergachev, Utah's most prized offseason acquisition, who has been the team's ironman defenseman who's been counted on more than almost any other player in the National Hockey League.
