ST. GEORGE — Making stories about Moses from the Bible relatable is taking shape in the deserts of Southern Utah. The new TV series "The Promised Land" starts shooting episodes toward the end of September.
Richie Johns, producer of the mockumentary "The Promised Land," told St. George News they are thrilled to bring season one's production to Washington County.
"After exploring locations across the country, we found that Southern Utah is the perfect fit for our Old Testament series. The stunning red rocks and red sand in St. George provide the ideal setting we've been searching for," Johns said. "We are excited to be following Kevin Costner's 'Horizon: An American Saga' to Washington County, choosing this incredible location for our production."
You look around, it's just such an incredible, beautiful area.
