EAGAN, Minn. — Justin Jefferson maintained confidence he would play this week despite the bruised quadriceps that forced him out of the last game. The Minnesota Vikings agreed with their star wide receiver and cleared Jefferson to play against Houston. Jefferson said the injured muscle "feels great" after the collision while he was blocking last week sidelined him late in the third quarter against San Francisco. The Vikings ruled out wide receiver Jordan Addison, linebacker Ivan Pace Jr. and outside linebacker Dallas Turner against the Texans with injuries. Houston listed running back Joe Mixon as doubtful with his ankle injury. Backup Dameon Pierce is out.
