OGDEN — A ruptured water main shut down Ogden Canyon in both directions Tuesday morning, according to the Utah Department of Transportation.

One of the main connectors between the population centers around Ogden and the Wasatch back is shut down between mile markers 9 and 13.

Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Cameron Roden said road crews repaired the main by 10:30 a.m. and repaved the road.

UDOT posted an update, saying the road was back open at 11:40 a.m.

So far, no information has been released about the cause of the main breakage.
