ST. GEORGE — A former St. George attorney out on pretrial release after police say he attempted to meet up with a 13-year-old for sex in northern Utah last year now faces nearly a dozen first-degree felonies in Washington County.

On Aug. 21, Daniel Roy Robison, 63, of St. George, was booked into jail in Washington County, where he faces 11 first-degree felony charges that include five counts of sodomy on a child and six counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a child, according to court documents.

The charges were filed Aug. 13, following a monthslong investigation by the St. George Police Department into a report alleging Robison had sexually abused at least four children in St. George. At least two of the children were under the age of 7 when the abuse took place, according to the affidavit filed in support of the warrant.

Investigators say Robison was in a position of trust when the incidents occurred, and the abuse occurred multiple times at various locations throughout Washington County, information corroborated by statements made to detectives through a series of interviews.
