PARIS — Carlos Alcaraz has become the youngest man to reach the tennis singles semifinals at a Summer Games since Novak Djokovic in 2008. Alcaraz got past Tommy Paul of the U.S. 6-3, 7-6 (7) at the Paris Olympics on Thursday. In other quarterfinals, Novak Djokovic felt pain in his knee but eliminated Stefanos Tsitsipas in straight sets, Lorenzo Musetti of Italy beat Tokyo Games gold medalist Alexander Zverev of Germany 7-5, 7-5, and Felix Auger-Aliassime of Canada defeated Casper Ruud of Norway in three sets. Alcaraz is a 21-year-old Spaniard who is just a few days older than Djokovic was 16 years ago in Beijing.
