PROVO — Two people are dead after their vehicle left the roadway and rolled down the embankment of a Utah County mountain late Saturday.
About 10 p.m., Utah County dispatch received reports of a crash with injuries on Kyhv Peak Road, according to Utah County Sheriff's Lt. Josh Chappel. The vehicle, for unknown reasons, left the roadway and rolled multiple times down the steep embankment before resting near the Provo Gun Range.
Two people, who were not identified, died in the crash. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
"Our condolences and our thoughts go out to the family members of those involved," said Chappel.
Correction: A previous version said the crash happened late Sunday. It was Saturday.
