ST. GEORGE — A Hurricane man died after a dispute while driving led to a crash Wednesday night on the St. George Boulevard overpass of I-15, police said.

The dispute was between a man who was driving a motorcycle while carrying a passenger and the occupants of another vehicle, "which resulted in the drivers becoming distracted," according to a post from the St. George Police Department.

The motorcycle ran a red light after the dispute with the other driver and collided with a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction, resulting in both riders being thrown from the motorcycle upon impact. The two riders, both in their 20s, were transported to the hospital, where the man who was driving it died.

The motorcyclist was identified Thursday as Alex Brown, 24, of Hurricane, Washington County.

The investigation is still ongoing, and no other details were made available.
