THE OCEAN FLOOR — You'd expect to find all sorts of creatures deep under water, but a cucumber?

A diver found a massive "sea cucumber" moving along the ocean floor near the Philippines in this video from a couple years ago.

If you've never heard of a sea cucumber, be assured, it's a real thing. And the one in the video looks nothing like the vegetable growing in your garden.

A commenter said this marine invertebrate looks more like "an animated roast" than something you put in your salad. Either way, sea cucumbers are edible, according to Business Insider.

"These otherworldly animals have been prized as a delicacy in Asia for centuries, where the wealthiest class would eat the animals as a nutritious high-protein treat," the publication said.

The diver who filmed this sea cucumber said he found it about 82 feet under water. The thing that caught his attention were the shrimp hitching a ride.
