MARRIOTT-SLATERVILLE, Weber County — A woman was hit and killed by a train in Weber County on Wednesday.

A woman in her 30s or 40s was walking west along the train tracks near 2000 W. 1200 South in Marriott-Slaterville when she didn't hear the train coming and got hit, the Weber County Sheriff's Office said. She was killed by the impact.

The woman's name has not yet been released.

Officials said they are investigating whether the death was accidental.
