SALT LAKE CITY — Utah's largest digital news outlet is meeting readers on another social media platform.

KSL.com recently launched its first WhatsApp channel to share daily news stories with readers. People can follow KSL.com on the popular messaging app to stay up-to-date on news items ranging from breaking news, local events, features and politics.

WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, is primarily used as an instant message and calling service by more than 2 billion people worldwide, according to the company.

KSL.com joins several other news outlets that are using WhatsApp to reach new audiences.
