It's kind of a big deal.

Midvale is the newest location for the Ogden-based Big Deal Outlet. Located in the former Babies R Us building at the Shops at Fort Union, it's now more convenient for people in the Salt Lake and Utah Valley areas to bargain shop.

For those who haven't visited a Big Deal Outlet, they offer unique bargains on a huge variety of groceries, clothing, toys, housewares, furniture, and outdoor products,

The new outlet in Midvale is another link in the brand's continued chain of expansion across Utah and Idaho, where its promise of providing customers with up to 75% off brand-name products has made Big Deal Outlet a household name.

Bringing new deals to the neighborhood

Anyone looking to save will appreciate a variety of overstock, close-out and shelf-pull products from major retail chains. And bargain hunters will enjoy the treasure hunt of product stock that changes regularly — all while experiencing a unique opportunity to hedge the inflation seen in brand name stores.

"Everyone is worried about price increases and inflation right now," Clayton Cook, founder and CEO of Big Deal Outlet said. "But the big-name retail chains don't care. They continue to overbuy, overproduce and are overwhelmed with online returns. Because of this, we've never had a better supply of amazing brand-name products at low prices."

The Midvale grand opening deals continue through the end of March and include rock bottom prices on Monbebe carseats and playards, cozy throw blankets, RealTree fishing tackle bags, Iams dog food, Play Doh slime, Black Rifle coffee, Izzy sparkling drinks, and much more.

A new way to shop in Midvale

The Midvale store, encompassing 36,000 square feet, is the largest in the Big Deal Outlet chain, offering twice the usual selection of clothing and furniture. Because of its unique business model, the inventory at Big Deal Outlet is constantly changing, with new items constantly arriving.

"Our product selection comes in waves," Cook said. "This week we might be overwhelmed with soda, and next week it might be air fryers or cuddly squishmallows. When we get a great deal on a truckload, we pass those savings on to the customer."

Those savings are well received by local customers.

"I found so many cool unique things that are a score of a deal. I hit it all–gardening, housewares, electronics… My kids are going to be so excited to come back and shop with me," Mary, a shopper from Cottonwood Heights said.

One Google reviewer wrote, "I love Big Deal Outlet! I got a great haul the other day for under $20! I'd be paying double for this anywhere else. They also have an amazing home section, clothing, toys, toiletries, and more. This store will definitely be part of my shopping routine."

Elle from Millcreek loved the selection and prices. "Now my friends are finally going to understand why I've been driving all the way to the Big Deal Outlet in Layton. I'm creating more competition for myself by telling them about this new store, but it's worth it."
