ANCHORAGE — The breathtaking views and wilderness of Alaska draw tourists from all around the world.
Anchorage offers visitors the chance to see glaciers, abundant wildlife, vast parks and trails and the northern lights. The area is home to whales, bears, moose and many other species that can be found, not just at the Alaska Zoo, Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center or one of its many wildlife refuges.
Locals in Anchorage have grown accustomed to the great outdoors being just beyond their front door. In this video, a woman is seen bartering with a moose that has zeroed in on her groceries. Her two carts of items are parked just behind her open trunk, as she films the moose that has begun to sniff around.
"I'll give you the sweet potatoes," she told the animal, bartering for the rest of the items in her cart.
The woman notes the moose's warnings with its ears pinned back, hackles up and lowering of its head. Instead of retreating into her car, she admonishes him "no ears back buddy, just scootch."
