WEST VALLEY CITY — A popular outdoor venue in Salt Lake County has a new name.

Utah First Credit Union was selected to serve as the next name-in-title sponsor of what was formerly the USANA Amphitheatre, after its sponsorship deal ended after 20 years, Live Nation announced Tuesday. The venue will now be called Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre moving forward.

Terms of the deal weren't disclosed, but Darin B. Moody, CEO at Utah First Credit Union, said he's "thrilled" about the new collaboration.

"We're looking to foster a sense of togetherness and contribute to the spirit that makes our community so special, and we're proud to play a role in creating a space for improvement, connection, and enjoyment of the moments that matter most," he said in a statement.

The amphitheater opened in 2003 with USANA Health Sciences, Inc. serving as the venue sponsor, and the Beach Boys headlined the first concert. In a statement Tuesday, USANA President and CEO Jim Brown said the company is "grateful" to play a role in the venue's history and it will continue to invest "in the betterment of our state" in other ways, such as its USANA Kids Eat program.

Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre has several shows already lined up for this summer, including Alanis Morissette, Hozier, Janet Jackson, Jason Aldean, Niall Horan, Noah Kahan, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Thirty Seconds and Tyler Childers, among many others.

"With a legacy spanning more than 20 years, this venue continues to be a vital hub for live music fans in Utah," Andy Peikon, Live Nation's senior vice president and head of venue sales, said in a statement. "Music brings people together, and this partnership with Utah First will allow us to deepen our roots within the community, promising to bring local music fans more live music experiences they'll never forget."
