SALT LAKE CITY — In the final week of the season, championship week, Georgia suffered its first loss in two season and dropped in the rankings.
As a result, undefeated Washington, who beat Oregon in the Pac-12 championship game, moved to the top of the KSL.com Sports Top 25 Fan Poll for the first time this season. The Huskies only garnered 11 first-place votes, but earned the most points for the week — by 14 points.
Michigan, which stayed at No. 2, earned 72 first-place votes, and was followed by Texas (2) and Florida State (2). Georgia dropped to No. 5 and was followed by Alabama at No. 6.
