PROVO — A woman died in a rock climbing accident Saturday at Rock Canyon in Provo.
Provo police said officers received reports of a 40-year-old woman who had fallen at about 3:35 p.m. on Saturday. Rescue teams arrived at the scene which was a rock climbing area known as "The Balcony."
The woman had been rock climbing with friends when she fell and died at the scene, police said.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing and the woman's name has not been released.
