SALT LAKE CITY — Who is ready for another weekend of college football?
The first week of action provided a lot of good entertainment, but Week 2 has a much better slate of games with some intriguing matchups. We, unfortunately, can't pick all of the great games taking place this weekend, but we've offered some good game for you to pick nonetheless.
Locally, No. 12 Utah kicks off the action with a road game against future conference member Baylor, while BYU and Utah State welcome to town regional FCS opponents in Southern Utah and Idaho State, respectively.
And then for the national interest, we have two games that feature all ranked opponents: No. 20 Ole Miss traveling to No. 24 Tulane, and then No. 11 Texas traveling to Tuscaloosa to take on future conference foe No. 3 Alabama. The SEC went 1-3 in games against Power Five opponents in Week 1, but will there be much of the same in Week 2?
In this week's staff picks, everyone is relatively in unison on four of the five games, but that Ole Miss-Tulane game provides some intrigue. Don't count on the other games going perfectly to plan, though, so choose wisely. We wouldn't hold it against you if you picked against us (and that's probably the smart answer).
